Disk Space, Email Accounts are Latest Features to be Expanded on All Shared Hosting Plans at No Charge

In response to customers’ ever growing online needs, industry leader Hostway Corporation has doubled the amount of disk space and email accounts on their Web hosting plans. The free service upgrade is automatic and will give all current and future shared hosting customers more powerful tools to create robust, successful websites.

Due to significant growth in the use of multi-media content, Web sites have demanded more disk space. Also, as websites stay up longer, more and more files are added to customers’ websites, making it important to have enough disk space for future growth. This latest move by Hostway is to free customers from having to worry about running out of disk space on their Web site.

Hostway made significant investments in upgrading its hosting infrastructure to provide this solution. In order to handle the extra data without sacrificing speed and reliability, Hostway implemented an EMC ® NS700 system that can handle 34 Terabytes of data. The system is designed to scale even beyond 34 Terabytes of data in the future. As a part of the upgrade, the centralized data backup system’s capability was tripled to continue to provide daily data backup service, essential for businesses, without any impact to the performance of customers’ websites.

Earlier this summer, Hostway doubled the amount of bandwidth available for all shared hosting customers, also without raising its prices. Hostway instituted these improvements at no charge to meet a customer need head on – more services with less hassle.
