SharePoint Provides Easy-to-Use
Platform for Information Sharing
Chicago, IL—Thursday, January 21, 2005—Hostway

today said it has added Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services
collaboration technologies to its hosting services, enabling its
customers to easily create, manage and build their own
collaborative Web sites and make them accessible throughout their
organizations.
“Windows SharePoint Services enhances work-team productivity
for small to medium-sized businesses through an easy-to-use, Web-based

Hostway offers new clients two Windows SharePoint Services plans,
Standard and Advanced. For up to 35 users, the Standard plan
provides Windows SharePoint Services disk quota of 300MB, 10 GB
of traffic, and 25 email accounts. The Advanced plan, designed
for up to 85 users, offers disk quota of 600MB, 30 GB or traffic
and 65 email accounts. The Standard plan is available for $19.95
per month or $215 per year. The Advanced plan is available for $39.95
per month or $431 per year.
Current Hostway “Windows Gold” or Linux Web-hosting
clients may add Windows SharePoint Services to their hosting
plans at an incremental monthly charge of $10 for each 20 users
and 50MB of disk space. Current clients of Hostway’s premium
“Gold Plus” and other premium Windows Web-hosting plans
will enjoy free access to Windows SharePoint Services.
Windows SharePoint Services, a collection of services for Windows
Server™ 2003, provides tools to share information,
collaborate with other users on documents, and create lists and
Web Part pages. Companies also may use SharePoint products and
technologies as a platform for creating collaboration and
information-sharing applications.
With the powerful tools of Windows SharePoint Services, teams can
keep connected and productive, enabling better decisions and
stronger relationships with customers, partners and suppliers.
Users can more efficiently create and review any type of document
with built-in document versioning and check-in and checkout
capabilities. Teams may also distribute business-critical
information more securely through password-protected SharePoint
sites rather than relying on email.

features include News and Topics; My Site, with personal and
public views; information targeting to specific audiences;
powerful indexing and searching across file shares, Web servers,

relevant information, documents or applications; single sign-on
for enterprise application integration; and integration with
